Welcome
Saint
Charles,
Missouri
Founded in 1769 as Les
Petites Cotes ("The Little Hills") on the banks of the
Missouri River,
Saint Charles
has served as a hub for explorers and pioneers for much of its history.
Thousands passed through on their journeys westward, replenishing
supplies before departing into new territory. Saint
Charles is a source of historical encounter:
the Lewis and Clark Rendezvous, Missouri 's
First State Capitol, origin of the Boone's Lick Trail and home to
Daniel Boone.
The
Kiwanis Club of St. Charles has been serving the community
since 1935.
